How do you get your team (who perhaps used to be your peer group) motivated and engaged? Quite often, we get promoted because of our competence and technical ability. We are then given the title of leader and off we go –but where do you start? Are there performance issues that perhaps haven’t been addressed, or maybe you recognise that the team lacks direction and are not sure of their compelling purpose?

Leadership always starts in the future, and as someone who has been supporting the development of leaders for over 25 years, I have come to recognise many of the challenges that leaders and their teams face into on a day-to-day basis. I offer several leadership development interventions that I believe will support you as the leader, as you transition into your new role, develop your leadership capability and ultimately become the authentic 21st century leader you want to be.

Leader as Coach

Accredited Coaching Programme

Association for Coaching

Leader as a Coach is for all those in leadership positions who recognise the importance and impact of using a coaching style of leadership. You may be new to coaching and want a whole new leadership coaching tool kit, or you recognise that your coaching skills may be a little rusty and you wish to refresh what you have and learn a few new coaching tools and techniques along the way! This programme is also accredited by the Association for Coaching, so at the end of the programme you will receive a recognised and accredited coaching qualification.

The programme can be delivered either in your workplace (minimum of 5 delegates) or you can join one of our open programmes, which we run throughout the year.

Leadership Course Approach

Over an eight-month period the leadership coaching programme will focus on the following:

  • Coach training
  • Goal setting with “coachee”
  • Coach observation
  • Coaching through change study group
  • Coaching through resilience
  • Coaching and vital conversations

The coaching training day will be face to face and the remainder of the programme will be delivered by Fiona online. All online sessions will be recorded, should you be unable to attend.

Leadership Course Details

As part of the programme, every delegate will need a “coachee” to work with throughout the programme. The “coachee” will ideally be someone who works in a different role to you and ideally someone that you don’t line manage – this will help you to resist the urge to mentor as oppose to coach!

I have an extensive library of developmental webinars which are designed to help and support leaders on their leadership journey. Each webinar lasts between 60-90 minutes and can be delivered in a live session or pre-recorded. Each webinar is based on a business or leadership development book. This gives all participants the opportunity for further personal development, should they wish to read or download the book afterwards.
